Description:

Flower fly that has a gold mark on its side and a gold spot between the thorax and abdomen.

Notes:

This spotting was identified by Small Wonders, many thanks.
These were feeding on Shasta Daisy, Leucanthum.

Hi gatorfellows, this is actually a fly, commonly called hover or flower flies. This looks like it may be a female Eristalis arbustorum.
