Field Notes

Description:

Gold and black hoverfly. There are gold stripes on the abdomen. The top two are broken. The first one is very thin and has the longest break. The second row is much thicker and has a fine black line breaking it. the other two rows are solid.

Habitat:

Grass in mixed chaparral near stream.
