Field Notes

Description:

Common african antelope. This was a bachelor group as all the members had horns and were thus male. They have good hearing and sense of smell, but poor eyesight and thus keep together for safety

Habitat:

tarangire

Notes:

This was early in the drive. They are so common that after a very short while, we simply don't care unless they're with very young lambs or being hunted by one of the cats
