Field Notes

Description:

A small-size damselfly, bright blue bands on thorax, upper part of the eyes is black and blue colour at the bottom half, narrow wings and mostly transparent, with simple venation, black abdomen.

Habitat:

Spotted during a day walk at Kebun Raya Cibodas, a 80ha area above 1.400 metres high, mix of botanical park with big trees & palms and surrounded by rainforest at the foot of Gene volcano, Java - Indonesia.
Their usual habitats are the verges of rivers and streams and the margins of large lakes.
