Field Notes

Description:

This fruit can be found in various sizes in the SAS forest, and the one that I found are bigger than my head. There is a natural predator in our forest that is consuming the Jackfruit (as you can see) and this predator has not been identified. The Jackfruit has a relationship with the rainforest as it provides food for the animals that are consuming it and it also helps the plant reproduce, but distributing its seeds. This fruit grows on a tree and there are many of these trees in the SAS forest.

Habitat:

SAS Secondary Rainforest
