Field Notes

Description:

Though this plant is kin to fig and mulberry trees, it reminded me of a Southern Magnolia in it's height and leaf texture, though the leaves were smaller with tapered tips. Fruit is large, heavy and spiky with fleshy seedy cells on the inside.

Habitat:

Southeast Asia, bangkok thailand

Notes:

Was told this tree had produced about 10 jackfruit so far this season, qith a few more on the way.
