Description:

Small brown/grey flycatcher, white belly feathers, tiny beak, dark feathers on back, wings, tail, head, tail edged in white, tiny whiskers at beak base can be seen up close, feeds on all types of insects often hovering and spiraling to the ground to make a catch, the tail is often fanned as the bird 'swivels' on its perch, grows to almost 15cm, has a beautiful call that birdwatchers instantly recognise.

Habitat:

Found throughout Australia in mostly woodland areas where it can perch and observe, seek shelter but still easily access insects that frequent open areas.
