Description:

The Juniper Geometer or Juniper-twig Geometer is a highly variable moth of the Geometridae family. Hosts on Junipers (Juniperus sp.), White Cedar (Thuja occidentalis) and possibly Pines (Pinus)

Habitat:

Ranges from Quebec and New Hampshire to Florida, west to Texas, north to Wisconsin.

Notes:

The wingspan is 21-25 mm. Adults are on wing from April to November.

The moth was actually pretty brown. It was early morning and the lighting was less than ideal.
