Field Notes

Description:

An unusual case moth which has built it's case from very loose and chaotic leaf and bark pieces. About 24mm long.

Habitat:

On young eucalyptus stem in public parkland.

Notes:

Notable that the leaves and bark seemed to be mostly from banksia and melaleuca plants (nearby). Reference includes an unknown species halfway down the page and about 20mm long, which builds it's case from ground based litter.
