Description:
Coreidae; Coreinae; Homoeocerini; Homoeocerus puncticornis (Burmeister, 1834). According to https://www.ibiol.ro/zoology/RJB-Z-66/pdf/RJBZ_66_art-3.pdf..... this Leaf-footed Bug is the type species in the Genus Homoeocerus. The document (on page 10) also confirms the presence of this species in The Indo-Malay region which, includes the Philippines. The photo shows a final instar nymph.
Habitat:
This Leaf-footed Bug was spotted, at a back corner of our house, on Hyacinth Bean (Lablab purpureus) known, in the Philippines, as Bataw. The plant identification is from http://www.stuartxchange.org/Bataw.....
