Field Notes

Description:

Coreidae; Coreinae; Homoeocerini; Homoeocerus puncticornis (Burmeister, 1834). This copulating couple and a few individual specimens were spotted at 6:30 a.m. when I was carrying out my routine morning check on our dogs, around the property.

Habitat:

Spotted on a Hyacinth Bean (Dolichos purpureus) beside our front gate. This plant is locally known as Bataw. Plant identification - http://www.stuartxchange.org/Bataw
