Field Notes

Description:

About 4mm in length, with a variety in colours; what stands out the most is the bright orange band outlining the body (pic #2) and the triangular patch on the head with intricate blue markings, and a similarly sized triangular patch behind the thorax with an intricate yellow design.

Habitat:

Andean forest at about 1800m above sea level.

Notes:

Saw this guy in Rumi Wilco nature reserve, just outside of Vilcabamba.
