Field Notes
Description:
Adult males have a brown head and shoulders, green hind parts and a blue tail, and are all covered with light ocelli. The females (and juveniles) have a green head and brown hind parts, with less ocelli but a dark line running down the sides.
Habitat:
Very common in the amazon region. In the Guyanas they can be seen in gardens, even in the cities.
Notes:
It is a ground dwelling lizard of the Teiidae family.
