Description:

Dipteran (fly) larvae of Brachyceran flies, such as houseflies, cheese flies, and blowflies that were consuming an animal carcass (see http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/15912008 ).

Habitat:

Found under the carcass of a blue-tongued skink (Tiliqua gigas) near a compost heap in a large semi-urban yard & garden near a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.
