Field Notes

Description:

A small compact shrub plant that can grow no more than half a meter in height, the average size of the crop is about 30 cm. However, there are also quite high varieties, reaching 1.5 meters in height and Vice versa very short-up to 10 cm. Some species are perennials, and some can delight in their beauty for only one year. Sheet plate of small size, resembling the feathers of a bird. The branches are covered with multiple simple or double inflorescences of white or beige shades. The plant has a faint but specific aroma that attracts honey insects.

Habitat:

Wild chamomile is found in Siberia, Altai, Kuznetsk Alatau, and the steppe part of Transbaikalia. After being introduced to the culture in Central Russia, it has spread widely along the edges of fields, roadsides, near housing, on vacant lots and fallow meadows - as a weed. It is cultivated for medicinal raw materials on special plantations.
