Field Notes

Description:

Tiny....miniscule. Winged. With two appendages as tails. Translucent. Body is somewhat crescent-shaped...Looks like a spot of dirty cobweb and gets away with it. Cropped and fiddled with the light a bit in the first photo to (hopefully) make ID-ing it easier.

Habitat:

On the staircase wall. Since I am pretty much not venturing out if I can help it I am paying extra care to areas around the lights in my house.

Thanks Tukup. From Unknown insect to Mayfly is a giant leap. Thanks so much.
Almost certainly a Mayfly. Wiki has a picture of one about half way down on this page from Kerala https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayfly and, while not similar enough to venture a guess as to its ID, it is similar enough to confirm it is a type of Mayfly. I know that doesn't narrow it down much ☹
