Field Notes

Description:

A small female mayfly on a wall attracted to the bright lights at night. Females can be distinguished from males from the eyes.

Habitat:

Found resting on the white wall of the lodge, attracted to the building's night lights in the tropical lowland rainforest of Tawau Hills Park, Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo).

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy: 5m. There is a river nearby so mayflies are quite abundant in this area. There could be 50-100 recorded species of mayflies on Borneo. Mayflies are still poorly known especially from the northern parts of Borneo.
