Field Notes

Description:

A small insect with a wing span of about 10 mm. Its front legs were held out in front like antennae. A small head supported two large close-set brown cup-shaped eyes. The wings were clear and the slim abdomen had two long thin cerci which the insect waved around persistently.

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights near an underground stream.

Notes:

I am yet to work out the exact ID for this mayfly with fascinating eyes.
