Field Notes
Description:
Extended family of hoppers, with adults and nymphs at different stages. Adults were about 6mm long. It seems that the colouration becomes lighter as the nymphs grow. The (probably) last instar nymphs sport a two-pronged spine on the protonum, two forward pointing spines, and two rows of three hook-like spines down the centre of the abdomen.
Habitat:
Found among vegetation about 2.2m above ground, on the way to the "Rostro Maya" in San Juan La Laguna, Lake Atitlán.
