Description:

A variable species, growing as a large tall tree upto 80-90m in wet forests but also growing as a stunted tree less than 2m tall in coastal areas.
The wine glass shaped fruit (Pic 3) and clustered globular flower buds (Pic 2) are characteristic of this species.

The Eucalypt flower is highly modified with petals and sepals fused to form a protective covering around the flower. The numerous stamens act to attract pollinators.
