Field Notes

Description:

A strongly convexed leaf beetle about 10 m long with glossy black elytra. There appeared to be shallow equidistant lines of puncturations on the elytra and some randomly dispersed between the lines. <br> The pronotum had a reddish sheen. <br> The ventral side was totally black. The feet had white margined pads.

Habitat:

Spotted on a eucalyptus tree in George Pentland Gardens, Frankston South.
