Description:

Striking nocturnal moth as in the photo.

Habitat:

Inside lodge in remote pristine rainforest area - 230 m.

Notes:

I am assuming a metalmark moth.

Species ID Suggestions

I have been shown a museum sample labelled Eulepidotis ouocco that seems to me to fit. Also now a live photo.

I believe it's indentical to the one referenced in my suggestion. Genus Eulepidotis but species not identified. Close to, but different from Eulepidotis perlata. http://www.learnaboutbutterflies.com/Andes%20-%20Eulepidotis%20perlata.htm
