Description:

Looks like a snout moth.

Habitat:

Jungle in Odisha, India.

Notes:

This photo was taken by my friend Pampa Mistri, who is also on PN and she wanted me to get her an ID. She knows I have put it on PN.
PLEASE, if someone could ID it for her.

The best I can come up with, for now, is "Slug Moth". There are some other common names, but they are all rather long and awkward, such as "Stinging-nettle Caterpillar Moth".
Hi Sukanya, I have not yet found the correct Common Name for this moth, but I am pretty sure that my Species ID Suggestion is correct. Hope it helps your friend.
