Field Notes

Description:

Small, brightly coloured moth. Sqiggly patterns in black on the orange colour. Antennae are orangey-red too.

Habitat:

Monastery near Kewzing Village. A rural, remote and hilly area of Sikkim.
Although it was raining and October is not a good month for moth-ing, we saw many moths on the walls, stairs, gates and corridors of this monastery near the tourist town of Ravangla. It is a short drive from Kewzing.

Notes:

Apparently not uncommon...a friend on FB has recently posted a photo of the same from a locality near where this one was spotted.
