Field Notes

Description:

Rich rusty colour with a distinct white mark at the back of the head. Around 2.5cm long.

Habitat:

My kitchen at night.

Leanne. This genus is known by another name too. It is Anomis sp. USA has a hibiscus leaf moth that looks like yours (Anomis privata) http://bugguide.net/node/view/573880 Brisbane has a Cotton Looper Moth that looks a bit different to yours http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_noctuidae/CottonLooperMoth.htm Nuwan is correct because this moth has two names (one is superseded, probably his). They are called loopers are not from the geometridae (looper) family.
