Description:

A small blue moth found in the high Cascades in Central Oregon. About the size of a quarter.

Habitat:

Alpine

Notes:

This moth was spotted in the high Cascades on a lake shore. There were several flittering around the edge of the lake on the ground.

It is not a moth, but a butterfly from the Lycaenidae/Hairstreak family, also just called the "Blues". Some of the US folks might get closer for you.
