Description:

Oaks are known for being very strong. They also have a very recognizable leaf that is somewhat symbolic in Canada... Or is that maple? Either way we all know them around here.

Habitat:

Oak trees inhabit most of northern North America. Most live in the plains and along the east coast.

Notes:

I liked this picture because the trees roots were growing right out of the ground.
