Field Notes

Description:

About 20cm long, perch-like, mainly greyish fish with 7-9 brown irregular stripes on flanks, and yellow to orange tail. There is also a bluish diffuse blotch on sides, appearing highlighted.

Habitat:

Appearing on all shallow waters (up to 6m) and close to shores with rocky bottoms of Dubrovnik riviera popular beaches. Common fish in Adriatic sea.
