Field Notes

Description:

The leaves are arrow-shaped and the undersides are white.

Habitat:

Mount Pisgah Arboretum, OR, USA.

Notes:

I've been told it got it's common name because the native Americans used to trample it so that it would form white arrows in the ground to find their paths.
