Description:

Two-inch magenta flowers on upright stems with flesh perfoliate leaves.

Habitat:

Well-drained sandy soil in open woods of shrubs and small trees, at top of valley of Wet Beaver Creek.

Notes:

Montezuma Well National Monument, Arizona.
Need species identification for this plant.
