Description:

At moth light after dark. Some color distortion due to lighting conditions.

Habitat:

Forest surrounding Rancho Naturalista, Costa Rica

Notes:

From Wikipedia: "Diaphania nitidalis, the pickleworm, is a serious agricultural pest insect in the Crambidae family. It damages squash primarily, but it is also a common pest of other cucurbits such as cucumbers and melons.... "

Thank you, bayucca, for correcting my error. Every bit of info helps as I am a novice at this! From what I am reading, you wouldn't want these in your garden!
Nice one! Please, note that this is not Pyralid/Pyralidae, but Crambid/Crambidae (and Spilomelinae), but both are Pyraloidea (as superfamily).
