Description:

small brown and white bird

Habitat:

migrant, marshes, freshwater and coastal areas

Notes:

can it be called a wading bird? i wud go with a sanderling? or some sandpiper.

I would say pectoral, having seen them in person... If it has a rather upright stance when not feeding, that is another good indicator of pectoral
Pectoral Sandpiper? Still have not made the name change.
Pectoral is small. And there is a fair bit of size difference between male and female. We get them here in Oregon in the early autumn migration
tnx Simon, I had just taken a bird guide and came across the Pectoral Sandpiper. but was still unsure, does it look like the right size? i spent a good time observing the bird, but now the bird seems small to me. I agree with the suggestion.
