Yes, it is on a blade of grass. It was extremely small. It does look similar, but I don't think it is as rotund as the Globular Springtails on bugguide. I'll keep looking though just in case :)
I'm not sure about this tiny tiny guy ( it's on a blade of grass right?). Might be a little beetle or bug, but I'll tell you what it reminded me of... A Globular Springtail. But I don't see any with that color pattern. http://bugguide.net/node/view/258368
