Description:

In South-America they are considered a pest for attacking crops.

Notes:

I found it in my kitchen, don't know much about it besides what the pictures show.

Argy_Bee, thanks for all the help. I'm new to taxonomy, didn't know the spots mattered all that much. Still I'm curious to find out a better classification. Well, this is addictive, I better get some sleep!

Good job caiosassuncao. I wasn't going so far because the spots are almost reversed on yours. They are only at the 'front' where yours are stronger at the margin or 'back' of the wing. Maybe the ID could stop at Poekilloptera sp..

Thanks for the comments! I've narrowed it down to Poekilloptera phalaenoides, all pictures I found the same insect but whitish.
