Field Notes

Description:

The case is made up of what looks like fine bits of gravel and sand stuck together with...maybe spider web (I can see a little bit of cobweb on the left.)
The larva sticks its neck out as it feeds.

Habitat:

On the walls of the resort at Suntaley khola which is a remote village in West Bengal, India with the River Moorti flowing by it. There is only one narrow motorable road that ends by the river.

Notes:

Also called Fungus Moth.
