Description:
Native to North America. 22 mm wingspan. Larvae eat flower buds. Adults feed on primrose nectar but don't seem to be part of the pollination process..,
Habitat:
Fields and clearings, places where adult host plant (evening primrose) grows. Adults rest in host plant flower stems or inside blooms during the daytime and fly at night. Attracted to light.
Notes:
Season: late June - September
Found inside on a wall close to a light.
