Field Notes

Description:

Gorgeous wine/violet/brown stipes 4cms long , a fragile pink cap , almost ombre two toned in colour , lovely violet/pink gills.

Habitat:

growing in a very mossy area , close to a large peice of rock , with a rotted piece of tree under the soil

Notes:

Pseudobaeospora sp. ( pink variety)..we get 4 known variety's so far in Tasmania)
Pseudobaeospora is a genus of fungi in the family Tricholomataceae

I am preparing a worldwide molecular study of the species of this genus.
