Description:
Tiny, red, agaricales with deep red striated caps. Pileus is usually up to 5mm across.
Habitat:
In mixed forest floor litter in a damp eucalyptus dominated area <br> (mountain ash rainforest national park)
Notes:
These little beauties signify the onset of autumn and are early responders when the rain and cooler temps eventuate after the heat of summer. Sometimes in larger clusters the first risers are often few or solitary. <br> Name has been changed in the last couple of years to discern from mycena proper.
