Field Notes

Description:

Sarus, Indian Crane. One of the tallest bird.

Habitat:

Spotted in a north indian grassland, marshy terrain. Normally found in north part of Indian sub continent.

Notes:

They grow as high as nearly 6 feet.These were about 4 feet plus height.
There were two pairs. They were very vigilant and flew away sensing my presence from about 30 - 40 mtrs.
