Letis scops is very abundant and very variable! So I guess it is really all over the places in the whole neotropics.
on second thought - it was below 400 meters and was much darker than the picture in the link provided. Is there a dark morph and is it likely to go that much lower?

Too dark, but not too dark for me ;-) Erebidae, Erebinae, Thermesiini, Letis scops. Same tribe as Ascalapha odorata.
