Description:

Pandanus is cultivated extensively throughout India, Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia to provide flavouring for food, It is also grated very finely into a pot-pourri mixture for temple and altar offerings.

Funny you should say that Nitch! I found a blog from someone in the Maldives and she had written about how to prepare these fruits .... I'm waiting for her to post a recipe and then I might try it. It has always looked good enough to eat but did'nt realise it was edible until I came across the blog
