Description:

Tan case-bearing beetle with dark grooves and spots on both elytra and pronotum.
It looks like this one was laying an egg... or scat :)

Habitat:

Sage in mixed-chaparral.

I think it is as well. Do you think that's a green egg or scat? It appears to be attached.
