Description:

Another batch of Shield bug eggs found under the leaf of a Hibiscus (Rosemelow) tree.Shield bug eggs are quite speciaised and can be identified by their almost 'barrel' like shape and lids which pop open as the nymphs can't chew their way out. They are laid in tight, neat rows in an upright position on vegitation.

Habitat:

Diverse range across grassland and gardens.

Just looked it up now. Wow Neil, such a tough drought there, we are coming out of ours here in the Cape with dams over 80% and like you said Mark, bugs are up and at them. Zimbabwe and north are bad but rains are around the corner.. I prey it gets better over there Neil!! Glad Melbourne is doing ok Mark!!

At least Melbourne's a bit more like Cape Town and bugs are starting to move around here. Qld is scary dry right now. Gets so depressing. Stay sane Neil.

We've had bad fires for weeks now. Devastating! Dust storms rolling through to the coast as well. This drought has really taken hold. Reminds me of the drought we had in the early 80's. South Africa and Zimbabwe was also suffering (that I saw for myself). Vic Falls was looking pretty sad as well.

Jeepers Neil! That’s insane. Another hot one for east Australia. Hope there are no fires!!

Ours haven't really stopped. We barely got a winter here in Brisbane... again! Birds kept breeding, snakes and lizards would sun themselves during the day. I am dreading summer :-/
