slipper shell
43.68, -70.17
Field Notes
Description:
I found this shell. It was white with a few tiny brown spots. It had a few small smudges of purple and brown. These types of shells are usually hard for me to find on the beach, which means there are not as many of them. It is almost an oval but it comes to a point. It has a few tiny ridges. It did not have a creature living in it.
Habitat:
This shell was found at Fowler's Beach, on Long Island Maine. It was in the sand.
Notes:
It is one of the most prettiest shells I've ever seen. I wonder where this shell came from. Where did it get it's colors?
