Field Notes

Description:

Thick capped mushroom with golden pores beneath. Fingerprint rapidly staining black. White stipe.

Habitat:

Suburban park.

It's amazing how blue is so unappetising. I would lean towards the luteus but it is a tough call isn't it.

The blue stain appeared quickly, easily within a few minutes. That doesn't seem very appetizing.
I think it is edible. In Australia it is probably either S. luteus or S. granulatus
That's an incredible blue colour. Almost like paint. How long before it went black?
