Description:

These beautiful native lilies are an important traditional food plant for many coastal First Nations. Despite being related to asparagus, it is the bulb that is normally eaten!

Habitat:

These lilies grow in wildflower meadows in Garry Oak ecosystems in Coastal British Columbia and surrounding regions.

Notes:

This is one of two species of camas that grows in BC (small camas and large camas). There are six species of camas in total.
