Field Notes

Description:

Six petals, a set of three staggered over another set of three. Colors range from white with a pale blue vein down each petal, to a vivid lavender blue. Blooms occur on single stems, but often grouped close together. Leaves narrow.

Habitat:

Found carpeting the grass in a cemetery in late March.
