Field Notes

Description:

A springbok is a slender antelope with long legs and neck. Both sexes reaches 71-86 cm. They are mammals. Their body length is between 120 and 150 cm. They are vert friendly animals!
Both male and female has horns, the are herbivores.

Habitat:

The springbok prefers grass savanna, dry river beds and calcareous pans as their habitat in South Africa, avoiding tall grass. They tend to live in harsh and unpredictable areas.

Notes:

-they can live for 10 years
- female can calve twice a year.
- when scared they will jump up to make themselves look bigger.
