Description:

Also known as Italian Stripped Bug or Minstrel Bug.
A very common Shield bug. About 10 to 12 mm long, with large oval shaped shield. Shield stripped black and bright red. Front red with oval black spots.
Black-legged, indicating sub-species G.l. italicum.

Habitat:

Found in an open space in the park Gerland, on the banks of river Rhone in Lyon France. It was observed on some plant from the family Apiaceae; in the part of the park that was left unkempt on purpose, as a natural meadow.
