Description:
The sugar maple is generally 16-70 feet in height as it grows past 10 years. Its leaves are long and wide with 5 lobes. The upper lobes of the leaves are larger with deep notches while the basal lobes are fairly small. In the fall the color change of the leaves ranges from bright yellow to orange to deep red.
Habitat:
In forest in the Northern U.S. and Canada.
